Holly Willoughby Husband: Who is she married to?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll be well aware of who Holly Willoughby is. After all, she’s one of Britain’s most talked about and loved TV personalities but here we ask – and answer – the question ‘who is Holly Willoughby’s husband?’

The man in question

Drum roll please…his name is Dan Baldwin and it’s probably a fair assumption to make that the name means little to you. He does have a little bit of a celebrity profile in his own right though. Whilst his wife spends her time on screen, Baldwin has spent his career working in the background, first as a researcher and then as a producer.

Nowadays though, Baldwin is more than that. In 2014 he co-founded the production company ‘Hungry Bear Media’ who have been behind shows such as Virtually Famous and Alan Carr’s Happy Hour.

How did the pair meet?

In 2004, Baldwin was working on the set of Ministry of Mayhem – a Saturday morning children’s show – where Willoughby was a presenter. The pair’s romance began a few months after they met but, with a desire to keep things under the radar, it didn’t become public knowledge for the best part of a year.

The initial meeting perhaps wasn’t as Shakespearean as you might imagine as Willoughby has since spoken about her first impressions where she thought Baldwin valued himself as ‘too cool’ and felt like he ‘hated’ her – not that she cared because she considered him to be a ‘little bit’ of a ‘dickhead’.

Of course, that quickly changed and the two have not looked back.

Marriage and family life

After a couple years of dating, Baldwin popped the question to Willoughby leaving her in ‘shock’. The proposal, much like their relationship, was kept behind closed doors with Willoughby relaxing in the bath when Baldwin dropped to one knee.

The big day came in August 2007 as the couple wed at St Michael’s Church in West Sussex and a reception at the nearby Amberley Castle followed. Fast forward to today and they now have 12 years of happy marriage under their belt and three children in tow – Harry, the eldest, Belle and Chester, the youngest of the trio.

What lays in wait for the pair in 2020?

For Willoughby, it already looks like 2020 will be a busy one. There were rumours of her stepping away from her role on This Morning but they’ve been put to bed and she’s recently launched a bedding range with home furniture company Dunelm. The other place you could see Willoughby appear this year – albeit late in 2020 – is on the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor after professional dancer Giovanni Pernice stoked the flames of an appearance on a recent This Morning show.

Where Baldwin is concerned, his energy will be poured into growing his media company and with works such as ‘Take off with Bradley and Holly’ and ‘Family Assemble’ under development their rapid growth shows little sign of slowing.

One thing is for sure though,  the duo won’t let too much about their private life into the public domain.
