The Jackass movie series is near to making history. The show has been going on successfully for more than 2 decades now. The venture which had started as an MTV reality show transformed itself over the years into a successful movie franchise.
Featuring faces such as Preston Lacy, Johnny Knoxville, Ehren McGhehey, Dave England, Brandon Margera, Chris Pontius, Steve-O, Ryan Dunn, Jason Acuña, and others, the Jackass movies were preceded by a television series which had a successful run of three seasons.
After the television series came to a conclusion the creators of the show decided to release a final movie in the year 2002 which was supposed to be a goodbye film for the fans. However, this movie sparked a fire that kindled itself into 10 successful movies thereafter. Here is a list of the Jackass movies in order.

1. Jackass: The Movie (2002)
“Let’s start at the very beginning. A very good place to start.” This is where it all began, even when people initially thought it to be the conclusion. This movie turned out to be a big hit at the domestic box office. While the budget spent in making this film was just about $5,000,000, the movie made a business of about $64,000,000.
The film has all 9 characters from the original cast. The public pranks and the dangerously amazing stunt sequences were the major attractions. The balance that the film maintained between its comic timing and the stunt sequences is indeed commendable.
The movie is available on Amazon Prime Video. You can also watch it on Netflix.
2. Jackass Number Two (2006)
This sequel was released in 2006, 4 years after the first film in the series. This movie was equally successful despite the surfacing controversies that surrounded it. A tragedy did occur because of the controversies. As a result of the debates and discussions, a tooth-pulling stunt sequence of Vincent Margera had to be cut out from the main film.
The success of the previous film let the producers stretch the budget of this one to around $11,000,000. Again, the whole crew is seen to return in this sequel. The makers had to censor certain stunts which were later released in their full vigor in an unrated version on DVD.
You can watch this movie on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
3. Jackass 2.5 (2007)
The 0.5 versions of the movies are the ones that are released online. This particular movie was the one to start the tradition. This movie is considered to be the sequel to the last one in the movie series, Jackass Number Two. However, Jackass 2.5 is Jackass Number Two with some extra scenes.
The stunts that had to be censored during the release of the preceding movie were released in this one. The movie shows Knoxville traveling to a clinic for his prostate exam. The clinic is situated in Russia! Next, we have Wee Man bullfighting against a calf. There are many such pictures, sequences, and other sorts of content that were added in this film because it could not be shown in the one that was released in the theatre.
This movie is available on Amazon Prime and Netflix. You can watch the movie there.
4. Jackass Presents: Mat Hoffman’s Tribute to Evel Knievel (2008)
This particular movie was a slight detour from the usual order of the movie series. It contains a little bit less comedy. The movie was released as a tribute to an iconic stuntman, as the movie title clearly states.
Even though this movie was not like the other ones in the series, it saw a successful run. The stunts in this movie are particularly gripping. They make you sit on the edge of your seat all through. It was clear that the stunts could easily incur any sort of injuries. The best part was that none of it was staged.
You can watch this movie on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
5. Jackass 3D (2010)
3D movies are always destined to be a hit. With top-notch 3D technological features, this movie did a whopping business of $170,000,000 box office collection from across the world.
However, despite being a 3D movie, Jackass 3D was still not able to the amazing action sequences and pranks. Who else but Steve-O and Wee Man steal the show this time too? Be it the office prank, the cattle prod obstacle course, the stun gun, or any other of the various attractively dangerous action stunts, Jackass 3D made the entire package.
This movie was the most commercially successful one in the entire movie franchise. You can stream it on Amazon Prime or Netflix.
6. Jackass 3.5 (2011)
Following the huge success of Jackass 3D, Jackass 3.5 was soon released in 2011. The second one in the .5 series, Jackass 3.5 also features some behind-the-scenes as well as certain censored sequences that could not be put in the previous film.
For instance, this film included a sequence of Magna goggles. In this sequence, members of the cast are shown to attempt tasks that are simple but are made difficult. Members of the crew attempt to do tasks as simple as catching a football or hammering a nail but the catch is that they need to do it while wearing binoculars.
This movie is adorned with actual fight sequences and features the return of Wee Man as a bullfighter but this time fighting an actual bull. Easily one of the most fun watches, Jackass is available on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
7. Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa (2013)
This film started the popular Bad Grandpa film series as a part of the Jackass movie franchise. While the Jackass movies are known to not have such a strong narrative plot, this particular movie, the second in the Jackass Presents series, was the first one to have some sort of a loose plot.
Knoxville plays the titular grandpa, a poorly-behaved guardian of Billy. The movie follows the shenanigans of this duo that lie at the crux of the comedy of the movie. One of the classics of the Jackass movie series, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa is widely acclaimed as a successful hidden-camera comedy, despite mixed reviews from critics.
This movie is also available on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
8. Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa .5 (2014)
The 3rd movie in the 0.5 series, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa .5 was released in 2014 closely following its predecessor. This movie again contained several outtakes and additional footage.
Bad Grandpa .5 featured 40 minutes of previously unseen footage. One interesting thing about this particular 0.5 version of the Jackass movie is that while all the other 0.5 Jackass movies were released online, this movie was made available on Blu-ray and DVD.
You can now watch the movie online on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
9. Jackass Forever (2022)
For almost a decade the Jackass movie franchise remained dormant. It was obvious that the fans had started to think that perhaps the franchise left them without a goodbye. However, in 2022 the makers of the movie series released a new instalment.
The classic crew is shown to be back again and, if possible, in even better form. Jackass Forever also features certain new faces along with the old masters. Newcomers such as Rachel Wolfstone, Eric Manaca, Jasper Dolphin, and some others were welcomed on board and they acted out the stunts that the older crew, let’s face it, had perhaps become too old for.
The old captains do have some amazing action sequences in this movie as well. If you are an ardent fan of them growing up, you can now catch up on this revamped Jackass movie installment on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
10. Jackass Forever 4.5 (2022)
This one is the last installment in the Jackass movie series, at least for now. This movie was released shortly after its predecessor and did as well as it as well.
This movie again features some of the best yet most dangerous action sequences. It is loaded with the usual behind-the-scenes antiques and the censored outtakes. The action sequences that have been added to this particular movie make it a must-watch for all action lovers.
This movie is available on Netflix. It was released on Netflix shortly after Jackass Forever had hit the screens.
