Pikachu and Eevee Set to Return for Macy’s 2022 Thanksgiving Parade

If you are a Pokemon fanatic, there is some good news for you to indulge in. The fans will get to rejoice a bit more this Thanksgiving because Pikachu and Eevee are set to make a comeback for Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade this year.

This is the 22nd year that Nintendo’s Pokemon characters are making a return, filling in the excitement of the users. 

Despite the sudden dip, Pokemon has re-emerged as a brand recently, especially following the success of the live-action 2019 movie, Pikachu. New generation fans were introduced to the Pokemon franchise, further elevating the fanbase and bringing in a new genre of audience.

The Pokemon franchise is currently working on multiple upcoming launches, including the upcoming Detective Pikachu game, which is currently in the works. With the two pivotal Pokemon characters making a comeback this year in the Thanksgiving Parade, it is set to attract more attention to the right group of people.

The news surrounding Pikachu’s and Eevee’s return was confirmed on Pokemon’s official website and the report suggests that the big comeback is happening on November 24, 2022. This holiday-themed Pokemon float is something that has been around for a few years and has managed to grab people’s attention without any hassle.

Reports suggest that Pikachu and Eevee’s appearance during the parade will be broadcasted on November 24, 2022, at 9 a.m. in all time zones, either on NBC or live streaming on Peacock.

The first appearance of the Pokemon franchise on Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade started in 2001 and has been a tradition since then. Ever since the first walk, there have been a lot of upgrades and changes to the appearance of Pikachu and Eevee over the years.

With the nearing launch of Nintendo’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it isn’t surprising that Pikachu and Eevee are making a comeback this year around too.
